Nvidia’s GTX 295 has the power of two GTX 200 Series processors on one video card. Instead of going AMD/ATI route of placing two gpus on one board Nvidia sticks to their GeForce 9800 GX2 and 7950 GX2 design which is a dual-PCB design, each gpu on it’s own circuit boards and both boards joined together through internal SLI.
It’s covered in a black-matte finish with no design change it’s simply NVIDIA’s reference design that BFG picked for their GTX 295 they just slapped their sticker on top of the card. There is a blue light on left of dual DVI to inform you about proper power connections attached and a green light next to HDMI connector to signal that at least one display was correctly attached.
Weighting at 1,213g of same height and length as reference design with a heatsink and fan sandwiched between both gpus. Up on to the top of the card is six and eight-pin power connectors, next to six-pin power connector you can see their is a tiny connector for the S/PDIF lead and also a SLI connector is there.
Make sure you screw it in firmly to eliminate any chances of running into shock and vibration problems.
I want to inform you incase you want to run two of these cards in Quad SLI that these cards can only work in Quad SLI with Windows Vista 32-bit or 64-bit.
You need a 680W PCI Express-compliant system power supply with a combined 12V current rating of 46Amp or more to run this card (Minimum system power requirement based on a PC configured with an Intel Core™i7 965 Extreme Edition processor). This card supports PCI Express 2.0 Bus Type and it’s backward compatible with PCI-Express 1.1.
