Intel will include these new processors in their mainstream desktop processors lineup to catch up with AMD’s counteroffer for Q1 2009 Phenom X4 9450e at 2.1GHz with a TDP of 65W. These are the first ever Quad Core cpus from Intel with a TDP of just 65W. Built on same 45nm fabrication process and are LGA775 as their predecessor and will be $30 to $50 expensive than their originals.
These will be the cpus:

Intel Core 2 Quads With TDP Of 65W

Intel Core 2 Quads With TDP Of 65W

See? that “s” in their names? Q9550s? there will be no difference in these cpus except a lower TDP at 65W, current versions of these cpus are rated at 95W, this lower TDP will help in saving energy. These are reported to come out this month. I hope these processors will overclocks better.
