DDR4 is the new standard in system memory. DDR2 and DDR3 are stories of past, I know there are systems still around with DDR3 and few of them with DDR2 memory but if you are going to build a new system you won’t be picking up anything but DDR4 RAMs.

DDR4 Motherboards!
Before we get our hands on some nice DDR4 RAMs we should first make sure that we have a DDR4 compatible Motherboard. Intel’s X99 Chipset codenamed “Wellsburg” was Intel’s first Chipset to feature DDR4 memory supporting LGA 2011-v3 Socket, Intel has now released 100 Series Chipset family codenamed “Sunrise Point” which will use a new Socket type LGA 1151, this family brings with it seven Chipsets; H110, B150, Q150, H170, Q170 and Z170 being the head of the family, Z170 is packed with power and performance for PC enthusiast, Hard Core Gamers and Content Creators, especially it’s 20 PCI-E 3.0 Lanes which makes it stand out of the crowd, if you don’t have a DDR4 motherboard Buy One From Here!

We need to consider few things before we make our purchase, we should make use of the Dual Channel or Quad Channel memory configuration or whatever your motherboard features, so buy RAMs in 2, 3 and 4 Sticks pair and install them in matching banks or if you want to fill all the RAM slots in your Motherboard then make purchases in 4, 6 and 8 Sticks pair.
Also, buy at least 8GB capacity of RAM whether you are gaming, video editing or multitasking, a minimum of 8GB RAM is recommended, you can either install single 8GB stick or you can install two 8GB sticks to run Dual Channel Configuration.
Although there are many DDR4 kits available in market we recommend few of these options for you.

Intel Core i7 975

Intel Core i7 975

News of a new Core i7 processor coming from Intel is surrounding the web, this will be a desktop cpu for Core i7 Extreme Edition series to replace flagship model 965, this new processor model will be Core i7 975. It will be a socket LGA 1366, at a speed of 3.33GHz comes with 25X multiplier, revision is D0 of Bloomfield core, L2-cache will be 256KB for each core, a large 8MB shared L3-cache, so, this means there is not much difference from current Core i7 flagship model 965 cpu except it comes with higher speed of 3.33GHz and a multiplier of 25X.
First appeared on XtremeSystems forum, the owner of this forum Fugger and his buddy Mikeguava overclocked the cpu to clock speed of 5259MHz to set a new record of 47,026 in 3DMark 05. Motherboard was used Gigabyte EX58-Extreme, Corsair’s peltier-cooled memory and two ATI Radeon HD 4870 X2 video cards were used in this benchmark to accomplish this new world record.
Word is this processor will launch in late Q2 or early Q3 of 2009 with a tag price of $999, though it could be different since this is just rumors.

Intel has already introduced their energy-efficient CPUs of Quad Core lineup on Jan-19-2009, these three low power consuming CPUs were introduced for Core 2 Quad lineup, Q8200s, Q9400s, Q9550s, these cpu’s comes with a TDP of 65W. This is not the end of the story, Intel is also planning to launch 45nm Lynnfield Core i5 processors in August or September of this year, these processors will be of LGA1156 socket and will come with a TDP of 95W.
Later in Q1 2010 Intel will release the same 45nm Lynnfield Core i5 processors with a lower TDP of 65W. The purpose of these low power CPUs are not only to bring down energy consumption of cpu’s but also to enable scalability to even those platforms that are developed for cpu’s with power rating of 65W.

Intel Core 2 Quad Processor Q9650, 3GHz, fabricated at 45nm process technology, SSE4 (Streaming SIMD Extensions 4) media instruction, 1333MHz FSB, 12MB of L2 cache, Intel 64, VT (Intel Virtualization Technology), vPro, TxT (Intel Trusted Execution Technology), XD Bit (Execute Disable Bit), EIST (Enhanced Intel SpeedStep Technology) and LGA775 package.

This is the fastest cpu in Intel’s Quad Core lineup. I know it’s still $17 more than Intel’s MSRP (Manufacturers Suggested Retail Price) which is $317 but this is the lowest I could find on internet.
